For annuity and retirement income advisors

Pay for retirement appointments that show up.

We run the ads, teach the prospect what an annuity is, verify on the phone that they have at least $250,000 they can move, and book them onto your calendar. You pay per held appointment. A no-show is replaced, not billed.

Run your own numbers

What held appointments are worth to your book.

Move the sliders to your case size, your commission, and the number of appointments you can take in a month. The price per appointment is the one we quote you on the call, so set it to whatever we agree.

Your numbers

$400,000

Premium per closed case. Our floor is $250,000 in movable assets per appointment.

7%

Typical fixed indexed annuity range is 5 to 8 percent.

10

Only appointments that show count. Everything else is replaced.

25%

Share of held appointments that become a funded case. Prospects arrive pre-educated and phone-verified.

$2,000

Priced by the asset tier of the prospect. Set it to the number we quote you.

Net commission per month, after appointment costs

$50,000

  • Commission per closed case $400,000 × 7% $28,000
  • Closed cases per month 10 held × 25% close 2.5
  • Gross commission per month $28,000 × 2.5 cases $70,000
  • Appointment cost per month 10 held × $2,000 $20,000
  • Return on appointment spend $70,000 ÷ $20,000 3.5×

At these numbers, one closed case pays for 14 held appointments. Every close after that is margin.

Illustration only. The outputs are arithmetic on the numbers you enter, not a projection of your results or a promise of any commission, close rate, or case size. Actual results depend on your market, your licensing, your close rate, and the products you sell. Slate books appointments and does not sell or recommend insurance products.

How it works

Three things happen before anyone reaches your calendar.

Advertising

Retirees find us, not you

We run ads under a neutral retirement education brand. A short quiz sorts people by age, savings, and what worries them about retirement. Your name is never in an ad.

Education

They learn what an annuity is first

Before any call, the prospect watches a plain-English explainer covering the three annuity types and the questions to ask. You skip the first twenty minutes of every meeting.

Verification

A person confirms the money is real

Our US-based team calls every lead, confirms at least $250,000 in assets they can move, confirms they want to discuss annuity options, then books your calendar and introduces you by name.

An appointment counts when the prospect shows up to the meeting. If they cancel, no-show, or turn out not to meet the criteria, it is replaced at no charge. You have two business days after each meeting to flag one that missed a criterion.

Fit

Who this works for.

Good fit

  • Independent, annuity-first producers writing $2 million or more a year in premium
  • Typical case of $250,000 and up
  • Comfortable closing over Zoom without an office visit or a dinner seminar
  • Already paying for leads or seminars and unhappy with show rate
  • Licensed in the states we send you

Not a fit

  • Wants pay-per-close or a guaranteed premium number
  • Closes only in person after a workshop
  • Under $100,000 minimum case size, or any-amount practices
  • Wants us to run ads under the advisor's own name

The next step

A 30-minute call about your market.

We look at your states, your case size, and how many appointments you can take, then quote a price per held appointment. Orders start at three appointments so you can judge the quality before committing to more.
